HARP AND VOICE: Yarm Fellowship Hall, East Street, presents Northern Harpo's with Anita Aslin and Sarah Paterson on Saturday, September 21. HOME START FUNDS: The management committee, staff, volunteers and families of Home-Start Teesside would like to thank all those who supported their stall at Yarm Fair when £157 was raised to put towards the project. More volunteers are needed to help support families with young children who are experien-cing difficulties. Adults with parenting experience would be suitable. OPEN DAYS: Yarm Methodist Church is taking part in the Heritage Open Day event, a council of Europe initiative which co-ordinates similar events in 46 countries. The church was built in 1763 and is used regularly. During the open days guides will be on hand to describe the church's history. The church will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, September 14 and from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, September 15. Sunday worship will be at the usual time of 10.20am. To access the church head down the Wynd off the High Street between the 3 Cooks and NatWest Bank towards the river.

ANTIQUES TALK: Women are invited to make friends at Egglescliffe community cen-tre, Durham Lane Eagles-cliffe. The Ladies section meets on alternate Thursdays at 7.45 for talks, socials and demonstrations. The prog-ramme continues on Septem-ber 19 when the subject is antiques.

PLAY FACILITIES: Ingleby Barwick Parish Council has agreed to contribute funds for the proposed improvement works to the toddlers play area near Safeway supermar-ket, which is to be undertaken by SMP. The scheme includes an extension to the play equipment and new self-clos-ing gates. A teen shelter is also being to be provided.

TREE PLANTING: Ingleby Barwick Parish Council working in partnership with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council planted trees on three sites in Ingleby Barwick. Two of the trees have been vandalised. Care is needed help the trees become established. The council is looking for sites for the next phase of planting.
