Durham Choral Society has started rehearsing its autumn season and welcomes singers, experienced and new.
The new season's programme includes Beethoven's Mass in D and Faure's Requiem. The choir has more than 100 members and welcomes applications, particularly from the young people. Members perform regularly in the cathedral and rehearse on Wednesdays from 7.30pm in St Marga's CE Primary School, Crossgate Peth. Call John Goodwill (0191) 384 5503 or Richard Bryce (0191) 386 1839.
