Darlington CB 1 Grangetown BC 9

Another Second Division side Darlington Cleveland Bridge were entertaining League Champions Grangetown Boys Club in the MacMillan Bowl and were matching their visitors for the first twenty minutes of the match but in the 28th minutes Stuart Padgett gave the Boys club the lead, Graham Clarke then doubled the lead in the 38th minute but Dwain Beagle pulled it back to 2-1 three minutes before half time. In the second half the League Champions took control and added another seven goals through Michael Meggison (3), Paul Cochrane (2), Clarke, Matthew Tomlinson.

Darlington SRM 0 Stokesley SC 1

A tight end-to-end match between second division side Darlington Simpson Rolling Mills and first division side Stokesley SC who are still looking for their first win in the league. The match swung end-to-end with both sides crating chances but unable to take any and at half time the match remained at 0-0. In the second half the match was again very even but in the 65th minute the match was settled when Steven Kelly pounced on a mistake by the home side full back and scored to secure a first round match away to Acklam Steelworks who had a bye in the preliminary draw.

Darlington RA Res 2 Guisb Tn Res 0

Darlington RA Reserves were entertaining Guisborough Town Reserves, who won their first match of the season last week when beating Teesside Arriva, the match was very even for the first half of the match but on the hour Mark Armstrong riffled the opening goal to give the Darlington side the lead. The Guisborough side pushed forward but ten minutes later Peter Gormley made it 2-0 and although the visitors pushed forward they were unable to make any impression of the game and slipped to their 3rd defeat of the season.
