Durham Victoria Bridge went down 5-2 at home to Seaham The Duke. Scott Burn destroyed them with a hat-trick in the first half.

Ian Bell got the other to give The Duke a 4-0 lead. Steve Graham and Darren Burnham reduced the arrears after the break before Dean Anderson made it five for The Duke.

Whitehill FC had a deserved win against visitors Hartlepool Town. The match was played throughout with very few chances made. The only goal scored was in 27 minutes when Gary Robson slipped the ball to James O'Brien who gave Town's keeper no chance.

Brandon Station went to second place in the table on goal difference, above their opponents SC Sunderland with a 4-0 win. Gavin Bell had them ahead in 10 minutes then had to work hard to keep the 1-0 lead up to the break, with Sporting Club doing all the pressing for an equaliser. In the second half Brandon took control when Bell got his second, chipping the ball over the keeper. He completed his hat-trick on 75 minutes before Paul Webster hit number four in the 85th minute.

Cockfield visited Garden Farm Real and won another three points with a 4-0 win, which also keeps their unbeaten record intact. Goals scored by Steve Rogers two, Richard Burn one and Andrew Singlewood.

Coxhoe Athletic went to the top of the league when they beat Shildon Railway at home 5-2. They were 1-0 down in 20 minutes, Stephen Hall scoring for Shildon. Michael Armstrong hit the equaliser two minutes later, then went ahead three minutes further on from a direct corner kick by Gary O'Hara. Scot Richards hit a 20 yard screamer to make it 3-1 at half-time. After the break Alan Tolley hit another two for Coxhoe in 47 and 70 minutes before Doug Grant got another for Shildon.

Michael Hodgson hit a hat-trick for Black and Decker in their 6-1 demolition over Simonside SC. Also on target was Paul Petitgene, Mark Hilton and Mark Fleming. Grant Calender replied for Simonside.

Seaham Mallard won convincingly 5-1 away to Ebchester FC. Nathen Griffiths hit two to go with counters from David Crumbie, Barry Cougle and Robert Ruddick. Dean Laddie got the consolation goal for Ebchester.
