MORE than 1,000 visitors and over 100 different classes of exhibits helped make this year's Hartlepool Horticultural Show one of the most successful ever.
People of all ages visited the free two-day event in the Borough Hall, on Hartlepool's Headland.
The annual show, hosted by Hartlepool Borough Council, featured flowers and vegetables from around the North-East and farther afield.
This year's event was also boosted by an impressive display by the Gladioli Society.
Lesley Strickland, a council spokeswoman, said: "The show just seems to go from strength to strength."
