A DARLINGTON school's bid for specialist status is continuing to attract support.

Hurworth Comprehensive School is aiming to become a mathematics and computing college, and contributions towards the £50,000 it needs are continuing to flow in. Parent Paul Dodds raised £300 with a bicycle ride from Workington to Tynemouth. Bondgate Round Table contributed £100 raised at a back-to-school disco, and £140 was collected by pupil Simon Savage, 12, who held several car boot sales.
