JAZZ ANNIVERSARY: The sixth anniversary of Jazz in Birtley will be celebrated with the Rae Brothers New Orleans Jazz Band and a free buffet, between 8pm and 11pm today, in Birtley St Joseph's CMS Club and Parish Centre, with tickets at £2.
BOOGIE DAYS: Sure Start has Beth Currie holding Boogie with Beth in Bullion hall on Thursdays, at 1.30pm
NEW QUIZ: The Queen's Head, in Chester-le-Street, has started holding quiz nights on Thursdays. The quiz begins at 9pm.
PANTO FUN: Singers and dancers, aged 16 and over are needed by the Riverside Amateur Operatic Society, which rehearses at 7.30pm on Tuesdays in the Chester-le-Street Catholic Club for their production of Aladdin, which will be staged during December.
