A local government department is in the running for a national award.
The Improvement and Development Agency's (IDeA) Top Team is announced at a ceremony on Wednesday, November 27, and North Yorkshire's register office staff are among seven nominations.
"We will be looking for a range of skills, including innovation and creativity the process of team building, what barriers and blockages were faced by the teams, and what learning can be transferred to others," said one of this year's judges, IDeA director Martin Horton.
The community development team from Sevenoaks, Barking and Dagenham's street cleaners, the Education and Achievement Unit from Nottingham, Dudley's Research and Information staff, the education and life-long learning department from Blackburn, and Suffolk's organisation and development team are the other nominations.
The result will be announced at Kensington Town Hall, in London.
