Cockfield beat Belford House 1-0 in a close encounter in the Durham County Trophy. The game looked like a stalemate until the 88th minute when Matthew Dixon headed the only goal.

Brandon Station won 3-0 away to Billingham SMC in the competition - with goals by Paul Webster (2) and Gavin Bell.

Spennymoor Black & Decker won 3-2 away to Wolviston Reserves. They were 2-0 down in the first half and losing by the same result with only eight minutes to go. Black & Decker looked out until Alan Robson made it 2-1 in the 82nd minute and another goal by Moris Hilton a minute later had them level in 90 minutes. Three minutes into extra time Michael Hudson settled it for Black & Decker - scoring the golden goal.

Seaham The Duke went out of the competition losing, to 2-1 Winlaton Hallgarth in a penalty shoot-out drawing 2-2 after extra time.

Coxhoe Athletic beat Whitehill FC 4-3. The score was 3-3 after 90 minutes, Alan Tolley, Gary O'hara and Don Williams scoring for Coxhoe. Whitehill scorers were Michael Pitt, Justin Robson and Gary Robson. Six minutes into extra time Gary O'Hara hit Coxhoe's golden goal.

In the Washington Aged Peoples Trophy, Garden Farm Real won 4-3 away to Birtley Town Reserves. John Somerville had Birtley ahead after ten minutes. Garden Farm were level through David Bridget, then went in front with a goal from Craig Feargries in 30. Paul Brown scored for Birtley to make it 2-2 at half time. Paul McArdle had Birtley in front - but Garden Farm drew level, Paul Brown the scorer. John Armstrong sealed it for Garden Farm getting the winner ten minutes from time.

Ebchester FC beat Springwell Village 7-3 in the Washington Aged Peoples Trophy. Goals for Ebchester were scored by Philip Dodd (3), Keith Coulter, Chris Parkin, Mark Grieve and Andrew Pearson. Springwell replied with goals from Mark McKee, Ian Davidson and Mark Kirtley.
