Mackinlay 2 v 6 Thirsk

This match saw both teams score four goals, apiece, unfortunately for Mackinlay two of their goals were in the wrong goal! After 20 minutes Thirsk's fast team player Lynne McKeown scored an individual goal after running the ball by herself from the 25 yard line. Ten minutes later McKeown once again ran the ball by herself and scored another individual goal. Mackinlay responded well and the pressure paid off shortly when Terry Saffin scored. In the second half McKeown scored further goals to give the visitors a healthy lead. Mackinlay defended bravely as a team but unfortunately deflected two goals past their own keeper. Midway through the second half Sue Mason's initial shot was saved by the Thirsk keeper Amy Hatch where Mary Dowson picked up the rebound and slipped it back behind the keeper. Players of match were Michelle Leibrick (Mackinlay) and Sarah Stephenson (Thirsk).

Norton 0 v 2 Roseberry

The visitors opened the scoring from a penalty corner, after two minutes, the ball was stopped and fired with accuracy by captain Sarah McDonald. After the early goal both teams picked up the pace and in an end to end foray for a long time there were no goals. After a first class first half neither team showed any signs of tiredness or lack of determination, both played a very fast game with a mix of skill and ball pace with both teams fighting for every ball. A goal from Roseberry's Jan Jolly gave them the lead, the remainder of the game saw several chances for Norton being saved by the Roseberry keeper and defence. Both teams maintained control of the game with Norton being unfortunate not to score, in what was a very even game. Players of match were Sarah Whitelock (Norton) and Jan Jolly (Roseberry).

Stokesley 1 v 0 Guisborough

Against the run of play Stokesley scored the only goal of the game when Emma, Thompson picked up a rebound from Guisborough keeper Claire Giles.

The second half saw Stokesley creating further chances to be denied by a very tight and confident Guisborough defence, with both teams having several chances to further the score. Players of match were Donna Shaw (Stokesley) and Sue Barker (Guisborough).

New Dales 3 v 1 Huntsman Tioxide

The home side's determination resulted in an early goal from Hannah Phillips, which was well struck from the right of the circle. The gutsy visitors were never daunted and continued to make some penetrating drives with Kath Bean and Lisa Morley showing their prowess. New Dales defence worked hard to contain this pressure with Lyn Holmes on the right making some well timed tackles and distributing the ball well.

New Dales continued to build from mid field and had a number of shots which were stopped by the young Tioxide keeper Shortly before half time Tioxide conceded an own goal due to sustained pressure from the home side, particularly Lucy Walker, who had consistently caused problems down the visitors left flank.

The second half continued with both teams playing hard but displaying an amicable and positive attitude. Huntsman Tioxide never lost their determination and supported each other well, playing some excellent balls through to their forward line. New Dales, however, enjoyed a good deal of possession, due to good team work and some accurate passing. This resulted in left wing Lucy Walker scoring a well earned goal, skillfully directing the ball past the Tioxide keeper.

A few minutes before the final whistle Tioxide were rewarded for their resolve with a goal from a penalty corner, scored by Lisa Morley who drove the ball hard and accurately into the corner of the net.
