A book about a group of unlikely professional footballers is being launched tomorrow.

One Dead Ref and a Box of Kippers traces the careers of the 72 men born in the Sedgefield area of County Durham, who played in the football or premier leagues between the war and the Millennium.

The book, written by Steven Chaytor and including interviews with some of the players, as well as host of personal anecdotes, will be launched at the Nags Head, Sedgefield.
