POLICE have appealed for witnesses to an accident which happened on Monday when a large van overturned near a busy roundabout.
The white VW Transporter van tipped on to its side as it approached a roundabout on the Binchester to Spennymoor stretch of the A688, in County Durham, at 7.20pm.
The driver, who was returning to his home in Spennymoor, received minor injuries.
Investigators have spoken to one witness but believe that at least one other person, a man, stopped and spoke to the injured driver. They are asking him and other witnesses to contact PC Nicola Bower on (01388) 314401.
