STAFF at a travel shop are appealing for Christmas gifts for deprived youngsters.
Workers at Travelcare, in Front Street, Stanley, are collecting unwrapped gifts, which will be given to local youngsters by the Derwentside Children's Charity.
Travel agent Alison Todd said: "We are asking people to help us celebrate Christmas by bringing cheer to a deserving local child."
