A PUBLIC meeting will be held today to discuss plans for an extension to a Stockton community centre.
Plans for a new community building for people in the Hardwick area have been in development since July.
Hardwick Residents' Association, Hardwick in Partnership (formerly Hardwick Tomorrow) and Hardwick Community Association have been working in partnership with Sure Start under the guidance of Hardwick Community Partnership to bring in an estimated £1.5m to extend the community centre site at Whessoe Road.
Mark Fishpool, chairman of the partnership, said: "These are exiting times and we hope that this investment will kick- start a range of initiatives to address everyday issues facing the residents of Hardwick"
For information or to take part in the meeting, at Hardwick Community Centre, from noon, call Sian, at Hardwick Community Partnership, on (01642) 808418.
