THREE members of the Methodist church circuit in Darlington have raised more than £1,300 for National Children's Homes (NCH).
Penny Coates, wife of minister, the Reverend Alan Coates, and Peter O'Sullivan, from Northlands Methodist Church, ran the Great North Run this year and raised £688 for the charity.
Mr O'Sullivan also raised £260 for his church.
In his fundraising efforts, the Reverend Graham Morgan and 23 volunteers rode the Ultimate Rollercoaster at Lightwater Valley for an hour and raised £700.
