B&H K Head 1 Thornaby Mandale 4

For the opening quarter hour of this top of the table clash there was little to choose between the sides but a blistering 20 minute spell that saw Mandale hit three goals without reply effectively settled the contest. Kevin Legg latched on to a long ball before slotting home Mandale's opener and minutes later Andrew Dyson pounced on a defensive error for goal number two.

Dyson struck again before half time beating the offside trap before rounding the keeper and Legg added a fourth early in the second half. Consolation for the Kings Head came with five minutes remaining when Brian Crawley tapped in from close range.

Coulby Newham 0 The Grenadier 3

The Grenadier made it maximum points from their last two league fixtures and kept another clean sheet into the bargain as they moved above Coulby in the league table.

Both sides had their chances particularly in a very even first half but while Coulby squandered theirs, the Grenadier produced the better finishing and over the ninety minutes deserved the three points.

St. Mary's College OB 7 Stockton Elementis 0

Eddy Johnson was the College's top marksman hitting a fine hat trick as his side produced one of their best performances of the season so far to see off Elementis. Craig Philip opened the scoring from the penalty spot with just ten minutes gone and Johnson opened his account mid way through the half rounding the keeper before firing into an empty net. A fine build ten minutes from the interval ended with Johnson adding a third and their was no let up after the break as the College maintained their onslaught. Dave Aspery beat two men before getting his name on the score sheet before Johnson completed his hat trick by lobbing the keeper from the edge of the area.

Substitute Mark Atkinson headed home from a Phil Bellerby cross before Bellerby himself scored with a looping header to round off a fine performance.

North Skelton 6 Black Horse 3

Black Horse almost doubled their goal tally for the season so far in this game and at one point led North Skelton with goals from Robby Atkin and Peter Harbron. A volley from Gary Brundell brought the home side back into the game however and by half time they led 3-2 with Shaun Mathews scoring from the penalty spot and Mark Sherwood putting them ahead. Despite their lowly league position, the Black Horse were not prepared to throw in the towel and got back on level terms when Kirk Harrison headed home Gary Bannister's well flighted corner. But North Skelton picked up their game to score three times with goals from Brundell, Preston and Sherwood.

South Bank United 6 Middlesbrough Post Office 4

There was little to choose between the sides at half time with Dave Larkin's goal cancelling out a fifteenth minute strike from Lee Hogg.

The second half however saw goals galore with the Post Office first retaking the lead when Hogg got on the end of a John Leach but then finding themselves conceding four goals in the space of ten minutes.

Andy Truscott levelled the scores at 2-2 before goals from Larkin, Hebdon and a second from Truscott put United in the driving seat.

Ten minutes from time, Post Office reduced the arrears when Paul Davies scored from the spot and a minute later Ken Dalton set up a grandstand finish when he volleyed home. A waving solo run from Truscott in the last minute of the game however settled the contest.

Stokesley 2 Ennis Square 2

All the goals came in the first half of the game with Stokesley twice coming from behind. Richard Mason gave Ennis the lead on ten minutes before Michael Bulmer equalised with a thundering thirty yarder. Ennis regained the lead on the half hour through Jonathan Kirk but the home side came back on the stroke of half time when Stokesley man of the match Bulmer once again produced an unstoppable shot in the dying moments of the half.

Despite good work from Ennis's Billy Millington, the nearest either side came to scoring in the second half was when Bulmer got the ball in the back of the net but this time the referee blew up for an infringement leaving the sides having to settle for a point apiece.

Woodman's A 1 Thornaby Village 4

Roger Deaves tapped home from close range to give first blood to the Village and although Chris Mothersill brought the Woodman's level on the half hour, Mark Casey crossed from Darren Robinson to head the visitors back in front on the stroke of half time. Ten minutes into the second half Paul Rae centred for Michael Allison to head the Village further in front and although the Woodman's hit the woodwork, it was the Thornaby sides Dean Melville who wrapped up the points with a well struck free kick from 20 yards out.
