CARING DEPOT: The Asda distribution centre donated hampers to senior citizens at Southwick Community Centre, and to Southwick Mothers and Toddlers' group. Staff have also raised £550 for the Sunderland Counselling Service.
DANCE CLASS: A beginners class in ballroom and sequence dancing is held from 1pm to 2pm, on Tuesdays, in the Biddick Arts Centre, followed by an intermediate class, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
CARNIVAL TIME: Oxclose Community School pupils experienced Brazilian music when the Sunderland samba band, Sunsamba, visited the school.
HEAVENLY SHOW: Dave Phillips will be giving a slide show, The Edge of Heaven, to Washington Camera Club, at 7.45pm, tonight, in the Harraton Community Centre.
SWIM TIME: Washington Leisure Centre holds parent and toddler sessions from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, on Wednesdays, in the pool.
FOLK NIGHT: The Davy Lamp Folk Club will hold a singers' night at 7pm, tomorrow, in Biddick Arts Centre.
