CHILDREN were given the chance to show off their design skills at an event at the weekend.
Youngsters were busy creating their own Christmas table centrepiece at B&Q's Hull Road outlet, in York, on Saturday, as part of the store's free children's Christmas DIY club.
Dozens of youngsters of all ages took part in the event and DIY demonstrator Brian Turner helped them make the table decoration, and said he was encouraged by the quality of the designs.
