VINTAGE car enthusiasts have handed over £2,500 to the Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland raised by the sale of rally diaries.
Dennis and Iris Morgan, who live in Toronto, near Bishop Auckland, compile the diaries and sell them by mail order and to fellow enthusiasts at historic car club meetings across the North of England and Scotland.
This year's profits have topped £5,000, which has been shared between the hospice and the charity Cancer Research UK.
Over the past four years the venture's contribution to the hospice has been more than £4,500.
