THE Edgehill estate in Scarborough, where 250 council houses have been demolished to make way for a development, now has a community centre.
Opening the Falsgrave Centre, Mayor Sheila Kettlewell said the scheme would be a major asset to the Falsgrave and Edgehill area. It includes a sports hall and meeting rooms for use by local organisations.
* Shire Homes has submitted plans to Scarborough Borough Council to build a large private housing estate.
