Fair meeting: A meeting has been arranged with resident Mrs Blyth, who had raised, by letter, a number of issues regarding travellers' horses and activities related to the fair.

Councillor Porter told the meeting that an original agreement stated that land behind bungalows in The Meadowings and Conyers Close was to be used for the travellers' horses. But since specific land had been designated, the number of animals had increased. Councillor Stevenson said it had become difficult to cope with the number of horses and the area might have to be restricted next year. He was also concerned about how horse manure was disposed of.

Tree lighting: A collection of £100 was taken at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony which will be donated to Yarm Medical Centre. Yarm School choir, the Salvation Army, the town's clergy, councillors and Stockton Borough Council, which helped hang many of the lights in the High Street, were all thanked by town council chairwoman, Liz Marsden.

Dog fouling: Dog fouling was a problem in some open spaces, but the situation at Snaith's Field had improved since a borough council dog warden had spoken to pet owners about the problem.

School move:A private meeting will be held with David Dunn, headmaster of Yarm School, in early January, to discuss the school's possible move to a new site.
