Pupils from Woodhouse Close Junior School, Bishop Auckland, brought festive cheer to the town centre and raised money for the school by singing carols.
A choir of mainly year six pupils sang outside the Four Clocks Project in Newgate Street, and in the Market Place on Monday and Thursday.
Teacher Stephen Lockey said: "The first day they went out it rained for the full hour, but they enjoyed it so much they were still really enthusiastic about going back out. They raised £176 to support projects the newly formed school council agrees on.
"It is great when youngsters get involved in raising money for the school and the council will work on projects the pupils themselves feel are important."
