Division One: Wolviston Res 3 v 1 Mackinlay Park

After a delayed start Wolviston's Ian Thompson scored after only 34 seconds after being played through by Greg Cattermole. Wolviston had a number of chances but Mackinlay Park drew level after 15 minutes with a magnificent header by centre back Phil Maidens. The match swung end to end on a heavy pitch but Wolviston went back in front when captain Stuart Trotter headed home. On the stroke of half time James Shepherd sent Chris Murray away for him to score his first of the season when he beat Michael Beech in the Park goal to make it 3-1.

Fishburn Park 0 v 1 Thornaby YC

Fishburn were on top for most of the match creating a number of chances but failing to convert any of them and in the last minute the Youth Club pinched all three points when Robbie Shaw scored his second of the season.

Richmond Town 1 v 2 Thornaby FC

In the 20th minute Thornaby's Michael Arif skipped past two Richmond defenders before slotting the ball past James Allis and they increased their lead through Danny Jones. In the second half Richmond were on top and in the 65th minute, Steve Collins, who had just come on as substitute, headed home to pull it back to 2-1.

Stokesley SC 1 v 1 New Marske SC

New Marske took a fifth minute lead when a long range shot by Paul Graham was misjudged by the home sides keeper and the ball went in under the bar. The home side then pressed forward and fifteen minutes later a poor kick from the visitors keeper fell to Martin Cooper who shot home from just inside his own half over the keeper to make it 1-1.

Division Two

Darlington CB 2 v 0 Whinney Banks

Darlington Cleveland Bridge pulled off a shock win over one-time title hopefuls Whinney Banks. Lee Hammond gave the home side a 20th minute lead and this was doubled three minutes before half time when man of the match Michael Lupton scored.

Dormans FC 2 v 0 Billingham Wndrs

Dormans keep the pressure on the second division leaders SMG Redstripes by beating Billingham Wanderers. Their first league meeting of the season saw Dormans win 3-1 at Billingham, after a tight 30 minutes of this match Dormans opened the scoring through Michael Kinlan, his 3rd of the season. The visitors pressed forward and the match saw a number of yellow cards been brandished by the referee and at half time the scored remained 1-0 to Dormans. In the second half the visitors as one would expect pressed forward but Dormans stated to get back on top and in the 55th minute Samuel Ebwea making his full debut scored his first of the season to secure the points that help them stay in second place.

Guisb Tn. Res 0 v 2 SMG Redstripes

The first half was evenly contested but neither side could find a goal, but two minutes into the second half Alex Degiorgis opened the scoring for the Billingham side, with his 12th of the season. SMG who remain the only unbeaten team in the league in both divisions, took a 2-0 lead fifteen minutes from time when Lee Johnston with his 4th of the season secured the points to keep them five points clear of Dormans who they play in the Burness Plate next week.

North Riding County Cup

Grangetown BC 4 v 0 Whitby Tn. Res

After only eight minutes Michael Meggison settled the Boys Club nerves by opening the scoring, a minute later it was 2-0 when Paul Cochrane scored. In the second half Whitby pushed forward but ten minutes into the half Paul Cassidy made it 3-0 and with ten minutes remaining Cochrane secured a semi-final berth against Redcar Town of the Wearside League.

Nunthorpe Ath 2 v 1 Carlin How

Carlin How were well on top for the opening 20 minutes, but once again they failed to convert any of their chances and the first half petered out to a goalless first 45 minutes. In the second half Nunthorpe took the lead when Anthony Roberts bravely headed home and ten minutes later they took a 2-0 through Glynn Swinnerton. Carlin How pulled it back to 2-1 in the 78th minute with a low shot by Steve Starsmore.

Acklam SW 3 v 0 Bedale FC

in the 25th minute Acklam deservedly took the lead through Dean Talukder and Acklam increased their lead when Talukder scored his second of the game. Lee Atkinson secured a place in the semi-finals against fellow league side Nunthorpe.

A Burness Plate preliminary round

D'ton SRM 4 v 1 D'ton RA Res

Danny Thorns' third of the season gave SRM the lead but Railway Athletic drew level with a first of the season from Scott Raper. Ten minutes before half time Michael Bland gave the home side a 2-1 lead. In the second half the match swung end to end but in the 50th minute Terry Wardley made it 3-1 to SRM and eight minutes later SRM clinched a place in the first round against Billingham Wanderers when Bland was on target again.

Teesside Link 5 v 3 Teesside Ath

The opening gaol came after only five minute for Link through Steve Hill's 7th of the season, but Alex Hugill made it 1-1 two minutes later with his 5th of the season, Gary Bowe then regained the Links lead in the 20th minute with his first of the season but ten minutes later it was 2-2 when Jamie Martin scored his fifth of the season. Five minutes before half time Link took a 3-2 lead from a Paul Livingstone penalty. In the second half the match swung end to end surprisingly with no further goals until the 70th minute when Tony Wray with his 3rd of the season made it 4-2, two goals in the last minute first pulled it back to 4-3 when Steve Dotchin scored, but Link had the last say in the match when a 12th of the season from Paul Lambert secured a first round meeting with high flying Hartlepool side Teesside Arriva.

Washington Aged Peoples Trophy

Teesside Arriva 2 v 1 SC Sunderland

Hartlepool side Teesside Arriva booked a spot in the next round of this competition after coming behind to beat much fancied Durham Alliance side Sporting Club Sunderland. An even start to the match then saw the Sunderland side press Arriva back. Just when the home side had weathered the storm and started to press forward Sporting Club Sunderland took the lead four minutes before half time through Simon Williams. In the second half Arriva got on top and scored the equaliser following a corner from centre forward Brendan Hampshire, the loose ball ran to Paul Adamson and he slotted home to make it 1-1. Arriva then pressed forward and Dave Clarke hit the bar in the 80th minute, just before full time a Lee Haggan cross was this time headed home by Clarke to secure a good win over Sporting Club Sunderland who they play away next week in the semi-final of the Durham Trophy.
