SEVEN men were being interviewed by detectives yesterday after an incident in which two police cars were damaged.
The incident started when two men in a Land Rover Discovery were assaulted in the Eastfield area of Scarborough on Wednesday night.
The vehicle was stolen and was later found abandoned on forestry land at Wrench Green, in the Wykeham area.
Six people were then arrested and two police cars damaged but details of the incident were still sketchy last night.
During the day a seventh man was also arrested and last night was being questioned with the others at Scarborough police station.
