Nine holes of golf played with two clubs and a putter preceded the meeting. the competition was won by Paul Godfrey with 18 points.

The meeting chaired by the Rabbits captain Craig Harrison was held in the clubhouse.

The captain after apologies for absence asked the treasurer Bob Holmes for his report, Bob gave details of the fixtures which had been arranged for the year and circulated lists for members use, he asked member who played YRGA matches to ensure that cards were correctly completed and returned as requested.

The treasurer Kevin Clinton presented the accounts which were approved.

In his report the captain thanked everyone for their support and highlighted the contribution made by the competitors who had played in the summer and winter league matches which had seen Bedale losing in the final of the summer league but had brought victory in the winter league last week when playing against Ripon City Golf club at Oakdale Golf Club Craig Harrison and Jimmy Cameron had won their match by a two hole margin.

Craig then presented the prizes to the winners and runners up of the Robert Riggs Trophy. Winners Bob Dixon/Colin Baines and runners up Phil Walker, Tony Phillips.

The election of officers then took place. Rabbits Captain for 2003, Kevin Clinton Vice captain Derek Harle, secretary Bob Holmes, treasurer John McAuley. Committee Paul Godfrey and Paddy Garnett.

Kevin Clinton on taking office thanked Craig for his successful year and presented him with a momento to remind him of the year. Kevin hoped all Rabbits would have an enjoyable year and commended to members the Rabbits outing which would be held at Barnard Castle Golf Club on August 30. An overnight away outing had still to be arranged.

Although the weather has restricted the number of elderly members from taking their weekly exercise two competitions have been completed albeit with reduced numbers.
