A PRIMARY school has launched a library system where pupils have their own individual bar-codes.
Staff at the library, at Tang Hall Primary School, York, have spent months cataloguing more than 2,000 books.
Headteacher Ken Taylor said: "Pupils are now able to search for the books and find the information they are after more easily. Two classroom assistants, Joan Finney and Eileen Fac, have spent weeks processing all the different books into the system.
He added: "There are gaps in the shelves that still need filling. If anyone has any books they could donate we would be very grateful. They can do so by calling the school on (01904) 424765."
