PEOPLE living in the Cockerton area of Darlington can voice their concerns about local issues at a series of advice sessions starting today.
PC Amanda Stevens, local beat officer, is holding an advice session at the fruit and vegetable shop in the farmers' market, in Cockerton, from 10am to noon.
PC Stevens, 29, has been beat officer for Branksome and Cockerton since last August. She said the most regular complaints to police concerned youths causing annoyance and reports of under-age drinking.
She said: "If anyone has any issues they wish to raise the access points are an ideal forum in which to do so.
"These sessions once a fortnight offer an ideal opportunity for local people and myself to get to know one another."
