A WOMAN appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering her baby daughter more than 13 years ago.
Maxine Jane Robinson, 34, appeared before magistrates in Peterlee, County Durham, charged with killing nine-month-old Victoria Jean Cope in 1989.
The child died in the bedroom of the then family home in Pelton, near Chester-le-Street.
Ms Robinson was not asked to enter a plea, and magistrates committed the case to Newcastle Crown Court, to be heard on March 5.
