A LEARNING partnership has helped a college receive new accreditation.
Bishop Auckland College has been named as a County Durham Learning accredited centre following its efforts to develop non-accredited learning.
The college has been working in partnership since 1999 with Derwentside College, East Durham and Houghall Community College, New College Durham the Workers' Educational Association and the Waddington Street Centre in Durham, in order to gain the Kitemark accreditation.
Charmian Walter, Widening Participation Project co-ordinator at Bishop Auckland College said: "Gaining the Kitemark demonstrates partnership, a quality standard guaranteed to learners and a commitment to widening participation to those learners who are hard to attract and/or retain in learning.
