POLICE secured an anti-social behaviour order for a man described as a public nuisance yesterday.
Andrew Lawson, of no fixed address, is the fourth person to be made the subject of an order in the Darlington area since September 2000.
The 22-year-old appeared before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court to answer an anti-social behaviour application made by Durham Police.
The persistent glue-sniffer has frequently exposed himself and been verbally abusive to passers-by.
The order follows the case of teenagers Joanne Mafham and Claire Richards, who plagued Darlington town centre with a campaign of violence and vandalism.
They were banned from drinking, harassing or intimidating the public and were not allowed to go out together in public. Richards was found to be in breach of the order within five days.
