POLICE are seeking the public's help in catching a motorist who left an injured man lying in the road.

The 21-year-old man, who was hurt and needed hospital treatment, had been riding a motorbike which was in collision with a Ford Fiesta, on Teesside. The car driver fled.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "It is believed the blue Ford Fiesta will have a large dent on the front passenger door and it is also believed the driver's side rear quarter light is broken and possibly covered with black plastic."

The accident happened at midday on Sunday at a junction in Fairfield Road, Grove Hill, Middlesbrough.
