CULTURE secretary Tessa Jowell has appointed one of the North-East's top cultural leaders to promote creative industries in the region.
Olivia Grant will hold the post of chairwoman of Culture North-East for four years after taking over from George Gill, the former leader of Gateshead Council, who has held the post since 1999.
