A BLINDFOLD bowling challenge has been set by a charity in a bid to boost funds.

Volunteers are needed to take part in a sponsored event for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

Money raised from the challenge, which will take place at the Hollywood Bowl at Teesside Park next month will help the RNIB continue to support adults and children with serious sight problems.

Six bowlers are needed for each team who will need to raise at least £250 in sponsorship.

Each team will play two games, one blindfolded and one without, and entry fee is £7.95 per person to include basket meal, shoes, lane and hire for two games.

Linda Stephenson from RNIB said: "The challenge will give people the opportunity to experience the challenges of being visually impaired."

Anyone wishing to take part in the sponsored bowl on Wednesday, March 12, at 7.30pm should contact Linda on (01388) 528297.
