IT is hoped thousands of pounds will be raised when Guisborough Round Table Stage Society presents What a Wonderful World next week.

The show takes place at Laurence Jackson School, Guisborough, from Monday to Saturday, next week, and has been backed by car dealership Simon Bailes.

During recent years the show has raised more than £18,000 for local charities.

This year's show will feature music and songs from around the globe and ranging from classical to modern, folk to opera.

On Monday and Tuesday, the group will perform to an invited audience of 500 pensioners.

Tickets for the remaining four nights cost £10, to include supper, and are available on (01287) 634522.
