A Darlington agency has won a major North-East contract in the face of strong competition.
Darlington Business Venture (DBV) is celebrating after its events division won a contract to plan a series of business events throughout the North-East.
The events, on behalf of Business Link Tyne and Wear and the new Tyne and Wear Start-up Consortium, are to be held in Gateshead, Newcastle, Wallsend, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
The contract, won by DBV off-shoot Enterprise Event Management, fought off strong competition from a host of Tyneside companies.
General manager Brian Coady said: "This is excellent news for the company.
"We look forward to working with colleagues in Tyne and Wear to assist in driving up the business birth rate for the northern region."
