CAR thieves have struck in a North-East town centre for the fifth time in three weeks.
Crooks stole a Peugeot 406 from Sherburn Terrace, Consett, County Durham, between 9.30am and 10am on Monday.
A Suzuki GZ Marauder was stolen from North View, in nearby Blackhill, between 8pm and 9pm the same day.
Previous thefts in Consett town centre include a blue Ford Mondeo in Medomsley Road last Friday, and a blue and silver Mitsubishi Pajero from Albert Road car park, on Saturday, January 25.
A blue Audi was taken from the same car park on Tuesday, January 21 and an attempt was made to steal a black Ford Fiesta from the Consett Medical Centre car park, on Friday, January 17.
