FIVE generations of occupational therapists joined forces yesterday to say goodbye to their longest-serving colleague.
Kate Wilson, senior occupational therapist at the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton, has spent more than 42 years in the profession.
She qualified in 1961 and began her career at Pinderfields General Hospital in Wakefield, before taking up posts in York, Huddersfield and Harrogate. She moved to North Tees in 1984.
Mrs Wilson retired from full-time employment in 1998 shortly after her 60th birthday, opting to work just two days each week. Now aged 64, she stepped down from the role following yesterday's leaving presentation.
