DURHAM-born Eric Clapton soundalike and lookalike Mike Hall is planning a one-off concert based on the star's Unplugged album.
Mike and his band Classic Clapton will be performing an acoustic show - their first in Newcastle since December 2001 - at the Live Theatre, Broad Chare, Quayside, on Friday, February 21, at 8pm.
Mike, a former Durham Johnston School pupil who now lives in Newcastle, said: "We have spent the past six months rehearsing these acoustic songs, which even Eric Clapton never usually performs live. We may never repeat this Unplugged concert in Newcastle again."
The show will include many of the best tracks from Clapton's Unplugged album, including Tears in Heaven, Alberta, and Layla plus new acoustic versions of other classics.
Tickets cost £9 in advance (£10 on the door) and are available from the box office on (0191) 232 1232. Concessions are available.
