Royals Under-13s travelled to North Shields and started well.

Jennifer Jennings supplied Chloe McKay with a pass through the middle to make the first goal and five minutes later Chloe crossed from the left for Lauren McDonnell to put away the second for Royals.

After some entertaining football from Royals in the third quarter Alex Saunders won the ball and slotted a pass through to Chloe who made it 3-0. Royals were down to six players for the last 15 minutes with Jennings injured and Shields pulled two goals back to make the final score a 3-2 Royals win.

Royals Under-12s entertained Stockton West End in the President's Cup. Cantwell, Pattinson and Toppin passed the ball with precision and it was Toppin who finished off a textbook move with a class goal to make it 1-0 to Royals.

Ten minutes later Pattinson scored with a tremendous header from a Toppin corner making it 2-0.

Helen Morrison made some great tackles in defence and a skilful run past two players in midfield followed by a shot which rocked the post after 29 minutes. Five minutes later Vicky West took on the Stockton defence and scored a great goal to make it 3-0.

Royals continued to pressure, Toppin shooting and scoring a fourth goal from a deflection. Sara Ellis made some good runs for Stockton but Jade White and Helen Morrison defended well. Alex Saunders made a skilful run then the Stockton defence and shot to make it 5-0. Royals pushed everyone forward but paid the penalty when Stockton scored three goals in the last ten minutes. An excellent performance saw the Royals win 5-3.

Royals Ladies were at home to Newcastle Development in the cup. The pitch was heavy and Newcastle looked like they found it hard work. Royals tried to play football from the back and put together some good passing. Midfield fed the ball then to the forwards but after 45 minutes there was no score.

The second half saw Royals dictating the play and after ten minutes they were awarded a penalty after a scramble in the goalmouth resulting in a hand ball.

Tracey Swales scored from the spot. Newcastle looked tired but battled on. Player of the match for Royals Kayleigh Harker.
