AN inquest was opened yesterday into the death of a worker who fell from scaffolding at a steelworks on Monday.
Lawrence Atkinson, 44, of Ingleby Barwick, was working at the Basic Oxygen Steel plant in Dormanstown, near Redcar, Teesside.
Police and investigators from the Health and Safety Executive are looking into the accident and will submit their findings to the Teesside coroner when they are complete.
