A BODY was found at the foot of a tall building at a chocolate factory just after noon yesterday.

Police are appealing to the public to help identify the man who was found at the Nestle Rowntree factory in York. He was pronounced dead on arrival at York District Hospital.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "At this time there are no suspicious circumstances but police are carrying out inquiries on behalf of the coroner."

While the man was not carrying any form of identification, he was in possession of a York to Scarborough rail ticket dated Wednesday.

He is described as being aged 25 to 35, 5ft 11in, well built, with short, dark brown hair, receding at the front, and a heavy stubble.

He was wearing light blue denim jeans made by Zantos, a light blue short-sleeved T-shirt with a navy blue band on the collar and sleeves, a navy blue long sleeved sweater and grey trainers. He was also wearing odd socks - one cream and one navy.
