James Morrison from Darlington has been selected for the England Under-17 football squad to travel to Greece for a friendly international next week.
Morrison, who is currently with the Middlesbrough Academy and plays for their youth sides, has already represented England once this season playing centre midfield against France in December, a game which England won 2-0.
James will play against Greece on Wednesday and said: "I am very thrilled by it all - it's a great experience.
"I play centre midfield, which is something I enjoy as I like to receive the ball and pass it around. But the international game is very different to what I am used to and I find I have less time on the ball."
James will be joined in the England squad by Tony McMahon of Evenwood, and Andrew Taylor from Hartlepool.
