ACTORS, dancers and singers aged eight to 25 are needed for an ambitious musical.

A cast of 120 is needed by Dionysis Theatre Company to take part in its production of Jesus Christ Superstar, which will be staged during August this year at the Gala Theatre in Durham.

Would-be stars will have to take part in auditions consisting of three workshops in drama, movement and singing.

There will also be auditions for those aged between 16 and 25 to join the backstage crew and talented musicians are needed to join the orchestra.

The auditions take place at:

* Darlington on Monda,y February 17, from 10am to 2pm.

* Durham on Tuesday, February 18, between 10am and 3pm, for backstage roles and acting parts.

* Sunderland on Wednesday, February 19, from 10am to 2pm.

* Newcastle on Saturday, March 8, between 2pm and 5pm.

* Durham on Sunday, March 9, for places in the orchestra.
