A 28-year-old man suffered facial injuries when he was the victim of an unprovoked attack by two men.
The incident happened sometime between 4.45pm and 5pm on Tuesday as the man was walking in Waldon Street, Hartlepool.
His attackers were described as aged 18 to 20, white and with local accents. One of them was 6ft 2in, with a slim build, short blond hair and crooked teeth. He was wearing a yellow tracksuit top. The other was 5ft 11in, with a thin build and short black hair. He was wearing a black and white T-shirt.
They were last seen heading towards the A689 Belle Vue Way.
