ST CUTHBERT'S RC Primary School, Chester-le-Street, has received an Activemark Gold Award for keeping pupils fit and active.
It was presented with the award by paralympic athlete Stephen Miller.
St Cuthbert's has been awarded Activemark for re-emphasising the benefits of sport and physical activity to children both in and out of lessons. The school has introduced a range of schemes to encourage pupils to be active, including walking to school.
