POLICE arrested seven people following a North-East football derby on Saturday.
A heavy police presence marked the Third Division match between Darlington and Hartlepool United, at the Quakers' Feethams ground.
Three men were arrested for breach of the peace and one for resisting arrest. Another two were arrested for public order offences but no further action will be taken.
A fan was also arrested on suspicion of carrying drugs.
"There was a high visibility police presence which meant we were able to quell the majority of problems," said a police spokeswoman.
The game ended a 2-2 draw.
