WOMEN are invited to try their hand at a range of activities during a one-off open day tomorrow.
Taster sessions have been lined up in a number of craft, hobby, health and specialist interest courses at Bowburn Community Centre, near Durham.
Tomorrow's open day is being staged as Durham City Council Single Budget Regeneration team's contribution to International Women's Week.
A creche and buffet will be provided, while entertainment, including a magic show, balloon modelling, face painting and a puppet theatre, will keep younger visitors amused.
Meanwhile, mothers can take part in everything from cookery, disc-jockeying and music skills, photography, belly dancing, gardening, manicuring, plumbing and bricklaying.
The community centre is off Durham Road, Bowburn, and the open day runs from 10am to 3pm. Entry is free.
