Elswick Harriers: The club's senior men finished in fourth spot in the Durham Pine North Eastern Harrier League at Consett on Saturday with the improving Dave Armstrong in seventh place in a time of 36.29.
Mark Ketley was 13th in 37.00, Jimmy Bell ran well to win 17th slot in 37.09. Team manager Tom Hanson was 62nd in 38,21 with Steve Bell 74th in a time of 38,.45. Steve Long was sixth counter finishing 131st overall in 40.28.
The ladies had two runners in the senior ladies event with Judith Nutt sixth in 19.54 with a promising run from newcomer Allison Dargie in 21st position in a time of 22.36.
