The Under-9s played top of the table Leven for the second week running, this time in the league. Spraire dominated the game with some of the best football they have played this season and went 2-0 up in the first ten minutes through James Bennett and Zac Tervit. They scored a third on the stroke of half time through Kerry Hedley and the second half started in much the same way as Spraire added a further two goals through Tervit and Bennett to complete a excellent 5-0 victory. Credit goes to the two defenders Matty Bowers and man of the match Ryan Allinson who restricted Leven to only one shot in the whole game.

In the following friendly Spraire won 7-2 with goals from Tervit, Matty Plumb, Danny Stead, Hedley and a Bennett hat-trick.

Spraire Under-12s were at home and won 7-0 against Fishburn with goals coming from C Lavelle (3), M Lavelle (2), G Hill and R Sheperdson. Man of the match was Joe Martin.

The Under-12 B were away to Mount Pleasant and drew 1-1. It was an end to end first half and Mount Pleasant came close but good defending by Honeyman denied them. In the second half Mount Pleasant got a penalty but Spraire fought back to get a draw with Copper scoring.

Spraire Lads Under-14 B progressed through to the quarter-finals of the League Challenge Cup with an excellent 4-2 win at Whinney Banks. Spraire started brightly and had a couple of early chances to go ahead but instead it was Whinney Banks that seized the opportunity to open the scoring after five minutes. They scored another after ten minutes to make it 2-0 and things weren't looking rosy for Spraire. However, Spraire kept at it and got back into it before the break when 'Tubs' Chandler converted Knox's cross-shot to make it 2-1. Knox brought Spraire level with a goal just after half-time and five minutes later Hind nudged Spraire ahead. Knox completed his brace with ten minutes to go to give Spraire a two-goal cushion. It was a very good all-round team performance but Petch just edged the man of the match award with a faultless display in goal.

The Under-15s were away to Bllingham Town and won 5-2. Spraire went two down before they came back. Oliver and Barr brought the score 2-2 at half time.

In the second half DSL worked well and a well worked goal came from Oliver then Oliver scored from a free kick. Billingham came back and got a penalty which Pattison saved. DSL's Barr scored again.

At Under-16 DSL were at home to Billingham and won 4-0. Spraire opened the scoring when a corner from Sturgean somehow crept in and he added a second with a great lob over the keeper. Sturgean then completed his hat-trick while Abdo was the other Spraire scorer. Keeper James had to work for his clean sheet with several good stops including a penalty save.

The Under-13s came out 2-1 winners of a hard-fought match at Leeming Lads. Spraire took an early two-goal lead, both scored by Joe Clamp, and with better finishing could have had several more. However, Leeming brought the score back to 2-1 at half time. Leeming took the initiative in the second half but Spraire defended well to secure the win.

Darlington Mount Pleasant Rangers

THE Under-12s A, sponsored by Weathertight Windows, played at home against South Bank Juniors in the league. Rangers kept up their winning form with a superb display, winning 5-2. Rangers scorers were Mikey Smith (2), Scott Hastie, Johnny Ward and Sean Lowe with man of the match going to Scott Hastie.

The Under-12s B, sponsored by Magnet Ltd, played at home against rivals Spraire Lads and dominated the game from the start. They piled on the pressure but could not capitalise. Final score ended in a 1-1 draw. Rangers scorer was Tom Helibron and man of the match went to Karl Harrison.

Sponsored by MKM (Darlington), the Under-11s A team played away in the league cup against Hartlepool St Francis 2000. It produced an end-to-end game with some good football being played. Rangers dominated most of the game but could not get past Harlepool's keeper. The game went on to extra time and penalties with the final score ending 5-4 to St Francis. Rangers scorers were Nathan Wilson, David Johnston, Johnny "Bravo" Blewitt, Tom Smalley. Rangers man of the match was Nathan Wilson.

The B team were away against Catterick and played really well. They dominated most of the game and scored some superb goals. The final score ended 2-2. Rangers scorers were Tom Hutchinson and Ethan Thompson. Man of the match went to Luke Brown.

The Under-10s, sponsored by Mill VW (Faverdale) played at home against Barnard Castle. It was end-to-end stuff in an all action encounter between two evenly matched teams. Final score ended in a 1-1 draw with Matthew Able scoring.

A further game that followed saw Rangers play with the same determination but could not grab the victory. Final score ended 2-1 to Barnard Castle. Rangers scorer was Thomas Ibbotson.

The Under-9s, sponsored by SG Petch, A team played at home in the league against Hartburn. This was a good game of football with an excellent display from both teams. The score ended 0-0 and man of the match went to Reece Hooper.

The B team played a friendly against the same team which again saw some excellent football being played. Final score ended 2-0 to Rangers. Rangers scorers were Matthew Harrison and Ryan Gales. Rangers man of the match was Natalie Rimmer.

Darlington 21st Allstars

The Under-17s were at home to Brunton Park in the league and were determined to win from the kick-off. Michael Gibbon, in central defence, controlled the game with a solid performance while midfielder Andy Ellis gave everything he could in a fantastic Allstars victory. The Allstars came away with a well-deserved 5-2 victory with scorers being Tommy Wright (4), Andy Edgeworth and man of the match going to Michael Gibbon.

The Under-14s were hosts to Tennis World in the league and opened the game with some fine football. Nick Fox scored an early well-worked goal but Tennis World showed their strength and tried to contain the Allstars. Callum Tavendale scored a tremendous goal and the Allstars ended the first half 2-0 up. Edward Pearson scored his debut goal for the club after the break and although Tennis World pushed ahead and scored, the Allstars finished strongly with a fourth goal by Jonathon Dunn. This was a well-worked 4-1 victory for the Allstars. Man of the match was Callum Tavendale.

The Under-15 Colts took on Seaton Carew at home in the league. This was a good solid performance from the Allstars with every squad member giving 100 per cent. Craig Slade scored a fantastic goal with a good build up and fine finish making it a hat-trick. The Allstars thoroughly deserved this 5-2 victory. Man of the match Slade bagged a hat-trick with the other scorer being Adam Yeadon (2).

The Under-12s were playing catch-up once again, playing two matches over the weekend. The first match was played on the Saturday against Cleveland Juniors and the Allstars fought hard and showed a true determination to win. Ross Burton took a free kick in an attempt to claim the points. He did it in splendid style, leaving the final score as 3-2 to the Allstars. Allstars' other scorer was Daniel Groves (2) with man of the match going to Adam Armstrong.

In the match on Sunday against North Ormesby, the spectators saw a fantastic game of football, with both teams equally matched, both playing brilliant football. This match would have been a shame for either team to come away with 0 points, because it was so evenly matched. The final score ended as a good 1-1 draw for both teams. Scorer Daniel Groves, MoM James Moohan.

The U10's travelled to Trimdon in the league and did not come away disappointed. In the league game they cam away with a well-deserved 6-1 victory. Scorers Karl Hewitt, Danny Thompson, Josh Park, Josh Phillips, Shane Campbell, Trimdon own goal. MoM Josh Phillips for an excellent all round performance .

In the friendly, the Allstars came away with an 18-0 victory. Scorers Nick Armstrong (3), Jonathon Stokell (5), Liam Brown (2), Danny Thompson, Josh Phillips (3), Jack Whittaker (2), Shane Campbell (2), MoM Josh Park.

The U10 Colts were hosts to Belassis Jnrs in the league and after a hard fought game came away with the points. The Allstars played well when passing the ball and were always going to come away with the points. This is the last league game of the season for the squad and they did it in style with a 2-0 victory. Scorers Thomas Airey, Tom Gillon, MoM Paul Johnson ,In the friendly the Allstars came away with a 1-0 victory. Scorer Adam Pollock, MoM Peter Hindman

The U11's were at home in the league to Hartburn Jnrs. This was a very tight game with the break going either way. The teams were neck and neck all the way. The teams were drawing at half time but a fantastic solo goal by Darren Swankie and a cool finish in the 6-yard box by Dean Bland sealed this 2-1 victory for the Allstars. This was a 14 man-squad and all played well.

The U13's took on South Park Rangers in the league. This was a strong physical match and the Allstars were unlucky to come away with a 2-1 defeat. Scorer Jack Henderson, MoM Jack Henderson.

The U11 Colts were playing catch up and took on Coulby Newham at home this week-end. The Allstars did not make the most of their chances and Coulby had 3 shots on goal and came away with a 3-2 victory. The score line was not reflective of the game. Scorers Sean Simpson, Dion Sung, MoM Sean Simpson.

The U11 Colts played mid-week against Marske Utd and although they fought hard against the strength of Markse, came away the losers. The Allstars gave their all, but came away with a 5-1 defeat. Scorer Thomas McCabe, MoM Jonathon Prichard.

The U8's were away to Marton Hall Drive in the league and played some outstanding football. The team are newly formed this season and have started to really work together. They lost 2-0 but watch them next season. MoM Jonathon Burn.

The U9's were at home to Skerne Park in the league. The Allstars quickly settled and were winning 5-0 before the game was abandoned. Scorers Bradley Simpson (3), Liam Jarvie, Andrew Wilson

The U15's travelled to Whinney Banks in the third round of the Teesside Challenge Cup. Despite a tremendous performance by Marc Briggs the Allstars 'keeper and some fantastic midfield and attacking performances, the Allstars failed to come away with the points. The U16's travelled to Marton in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup. The Allstars started well and took the lead with a well-worked Steve Howden goal. The game ended in an 8-1 defeat for the Allstars. Scorer Steve Howden, MoM David Lunn.

Darlington gave a display of sound passing football against Catterick, resulting in overpowering a resilient team. Young Boys ran out comfortable 8-0 winners with goals from Chris Smith (2), Sam Nattress (2), Matty Leadbeatter, Chris Nicholson, Andrew Caldwell and Leon Henry. An amazing display from Paul McGregor in the Catterick goal, kept Grammar from adding to their goal tally. Man of the match went to Chris Nicholson.
