Willington Ladies League: The First Round of the Darts Singles Knock-Out Cup Willington Cottles came close to beating their hosts, the league champions, Willington Club B. However the champions recovered to win by the odd point. Sunnybrow Brown Trout did well to win by the odd point at Hunwick Joiners Arms.

Quarter final draw: Willington Burn v Willington Black Horse A; Willington Black Horse B v Willington Club A; Willington Market v Willington Lion and Unicorn; Sunnybrow Brown Trout v Willington Club B.

Bishop Auckland and District CIU Winter: Even though there was only one match scheduled on the programme some trophy decisions were made. West Auckland's Ian Bowes clinched the captain's dominoes title when he won his 13th point of the season, leaving the visiting Evenwood in runners-up position but just one point ahead of Eldon Lane, who they meet in the final match of the season.

Ian Bowes had further success with the dominoes when he was joined by Michael Townsend to win their pairs game and finish as runners-up to Cockton Hill. Billy Briggs of West Auckland won his captain's whist match to go joint top with Chris Hope of Tindale Crescent, with both players having one match left to play. However West's pair of Michael Townsend and Ian Bowes clinched the title in the captain's whist section.

The tightest finish looks likely to be in the fives and threes pairs section after Ronnie Williamson and Alan House of West Auckland beat Tommy Hicks and Tony Webb of Evenwood to leave a three-way tie in second place between Tindale Crescent, Evenwood and West Auckland, whilst Eldon Lane are only one point ahead.

Secretary, John Bell asks all secretaries to note that he must have the results of the final matches in by Friday so that details of play-offs at West Auckland can be circulated in good time for players to make the necessary arrangements.

Results: West Auckland v Evenwood: Darts 4-1; Dominoes 2-2; Whist 3-1; 5's & 3's 3-1; Pool 2-2
